Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 10, 2026

1. Introduction

Thank you for using JIBA (“we,” “us,” or “the App”). We believe that your privacy is a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains how our software handles your data.

The Short Version: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. The App runs primarily on your Mac, and any communication with the internet is used solely to fetch music metadata for your library.

2. Data We Collect (Or Don’t Collect)

2.1. Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information (such as your name, email address, or phone number). Since we do not maintain a user database, we have no way to identify you.

2.2. Usage Data and Analytics

We do not track your usage of the App. We do not use third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics, Firebase, or invasive tracking pixels) to monitor your behavior.

2.3. Your Music Library

The App reads data from your local Apple Music (iTunes) library to perform its core functions.

  • Traditional Mode: This process happens entirely locally on your device.
  • Enhanced Mode: When this mode is enabled, the App transmits specific song identifiers (IDs) to our backend service to fetch high-accuracy metadata. We do not record, log, or retain any information about which songs are processed. This data is used only to fulfill the real-time request and is not stored on our servers or Cloudflare infrastructure.

3. Third-Party Services

To function correctly, the App retrieves metadata from Apple’s services.

  • Apple Music & iTunes API: The App connects to Apple’s services to retrieve song metadata and artwork.
  • Enhanced Mode Intermediary: For Enhanced Mode, requests are routed through our backend (hosted on Cloudflare) to communicate with Apple’s APIs. We do not intercept, store, or profile your library data during this process.
  • Privacy Guarantee: We do not maintain any logs of the song IDs sent to our backend.

Using this App is subject to your existing relationship with Apple. For more information on how Apple handles data, please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

4. Network Access

The App requires internet access solely for the purpose of communicating with the services mentioned in Section 3.

5. Data Storage

Any preferences or settings you configure in the App are stored locally on your device (e.g., in UserDefaults or local configuration files). You have full control over this data and can delete it by uninstalling the App or clearing its preferences.

6. Information for European Union (GDPR) and California (CCPA) Users

Since we do not collect, process, or store any personal data (“Data Controller” or “Business”), many provisions of the GDPR and CPRA/CCPA regarding data access, deletion, or portability do not apply to us directly—simply because we hold no data about you to begin with.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our software or legal requirements. Since we do not have your email address, we cannot notify you directly. We encourage you to check this page periodically for any changes.

8. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact the developer via the platform where you downloaded this App (e.g., email or the official support channels).
